600

Friday, February 5, 2010

When I started this blog, nearly two years ago on a cold February night, I had no idea I would have so much to say!

But here we are now, 600 posts later! That's a lot of words, pictures, thoughts, and stories!

Here in Blogland, I have learned there seems to be a secret code (which by that I mean it's a given) that when you hit such a milestone as 600 posts, you hold a contest giveaway!

Well I'm here to say that I feel so excited about my 600 posts that I want to give away something for free.

Everyone loves free stuff!

So up for winning is one of my custom hat creations.

The person that wins gets to choose the size and gender specific hat.

To enter the contest, all you have to do is leave a comment.

Pretty simple right? I like to keep things simple.

Contest will close on Sunday February 7 at 11:59 p.m. (EST).

The winner will be revealed on Monday morning.

And because it would simply be shameful for my 600th post to be lacking a Cayman photo, here is that little angel in her tutu glory...Photo by Kim Fordham Photography

Congrats on your 600th post. I am so glad you have brought us all along on your journey. Cayman is a true miracle and her story has traveled many places and has inspired so many people in believing that the impossible is possible even if the doctors say it wasn't.

Congrats on 600 posts! I have enjoyed each and every one of them. And even more than that, I have enjoyed getting to know you and your family. Isn't it amazing how something like a blog can help develop great friendships? And it helps make the distance between our families seem not quite so far :)

Here's to 600 more!

Wow! 600 posts IS quite a milestone! Congratulations, and I (for one) am so glad you've found so much to post. :) I have LOVED every moment you've shared of your family's journey and all of Cayman's accomplishments so far. I can remember praying for her very life in the weeks leading up to her birth...I am AWED at how the Lord has chosen to use His little miracle to reach and touch so many! :)

And, I also wouldn't mind if Collin ended up with one of your fabulous hats. :) Tee hee.

Love to your family!

600 is a lot. I hope I get to that number sometime. If I win send a hat to Matthew from his Aunt Kim. Jill can pick out the colors and such.

Would I like to win one of your darling hats?!?
WOOH HOOH!!!!!!
You better believe I would. I love them all but the little 1920's looking ones like the dark brown with pink trim and flower are my absolute favorites. I remember back in the days when every day Elisabeth would wear her hats. And I know that a few of them were from you. That had always touched my heart, and now I have a chance to have one of my very own.
So YOU BETCHA! Sign me UP!

I just wanted to say I check your blog often. I go to church with Dan and Stacey, and I was also pregnant when you and Mike found out that medically, things with Cayman were not what one would hope for. I cried while I read your blog, praying for Cayman, you, Mike, and for my baby as well. Well, to make this short- now Ethan and I read your blog together and I praise God for your happy healthy beautiful little girl, and my little boy as well. Thanks for all your encouragement (that you didnt even realize you were sending my way) and your example of faith.

Yours was the first blog I ever read, I didn't even know what a blog was. I found Cayman by searching for answers to what might be happening to my own child. Your blog, in the end, inspired me to first, praise God again and again for the our children, and the second, to finally start a blog of my own. I have been admiring your hats and it would be awesome to win one. Thank you Kristen for 600 wonderful posts, and for sharing your life with us.

TannaLee,

We had a great Super Bowl Sunday! We were invited to a friend's house that has a crazy big sweet TV...like an 82 inch or something like that! Cayman enjoyed herself as she played with another little girl that was there. Cayman almost made it to the end of the game but she became cranky as it approached her bedtime.

So even though this is technically her 2nd Super Bowl Sunday, it's kind of like her first, because Mike and I, for the likes of us, can't remember what we did last year. We're not even sure if we watched the game or what we were doing on Super Bowl Sunday.

So I guess this one gets marked down as her 1st Super Bowl Sunday. And what a way to experience it on an 80-something inch TV in high definition!

Fun times!
