What's Up With That?

I find this common little cause-and-effect toy interesting in the hands of Cayman.

It's filled with different types of buttons; a lever, two switches, a beeper, and a key. Out of all those buttons, there is only one that Cayman has mastered or even shows much interest in and that one is the key; the one button out of the whole collection that would be the trickiest to learn for newly developing fine motor skilled hands to maneuver. And she turns that key like there's no tomorrow.

What a silly, but smart, cookie she is!

That's awesome...Hunter loves that toy, but that was one of the last ones that he went after...preferring the button first! Go Cayman!!

That is interesting that she would do the hardest one, and only the hardest one! What a smart little girl she is :)

I never doubt what Cayman is capable of doing. She is a smart little cookie. Maybe she thinks that if she does the hardest one first it's all down hill from there :)

That is Michelle and Abigail's FAVORITE toy. We have daily fights of Abby wants it at the same time Michelle does. And how funny that they too like only that key!

Common is correct! I still have the one we bought for CollegeSon - it has survived to still be used with a recent patient - whose mom went out and bought a newer model. The.same.five.buttons. for the last 20 years.

Sometimes the child selects a favorite based on what pops-up. Closing the pop-ups is easier to learn before some of the buttons, for most.

If she can do that one, she has the others already mastered, likely. Barbara

I had that toy for my other kiddo's and it was always a favorite. Fun to watch them figure out, "what if I do this, then what will happen?" Way to go Cayman

Give that girl a drivers license she is ready to roll! :)

I LOVE your nieces hats that you made them! Those are so awesome! You really are so good at knitting...is it really a sin to covet...cause I'm doing it right now! I may have to check out that game. Games that make you laugh are my favorite.

Naomi figured out if she threw this toy hard on the linoleum floor they'd all pop open and that was the only cause and effect she got out of it! :)
