Tribute to Aunt Betty

Sunday, June 29, 2008

Dear Aunt Betty

There are no words that could express how much
you meant to us. There was no one more full of life than you. I hope to model the kind of love and devotion you carried with you your whole life.

You were a reminder and an inspiration to me that God works miracles. The doctor said you would never live to be 21 years old
because of your damaged heart. Yet you lived to be the glorious age of 84.

I will never forget that Cayman's due date was your birthday. I will never forget the way your eyes lit up when you saw her for the first time. I was so worried about you getting tired sitting next to Cayman's bed in the
NICU. But you insisted you were fine, and contently sat there for awhile longer.

We just saw you last Saturday. It feels like such a long time ago. How I wish I could see you one more time! Yet I know that wou
ld never be enough. I would just keep wishing for more.

How I am going to miss you! I already do. I know you stand next to our Savior totally renewed and completely healed. How I wish I could see you right now, looking so happy and peaceful.

I love you Aunt Betty!! I miss you!

Kris,

Thank you for the post on Aunt Betty. It's hard to be away from you all at a time like this. I'm also glad that I got a chance to see Aunt Betty just about 2 months ago. I know none of us would wish Aunt Betty to stay here in a world of pain, but all of us will miss her michevious smile, the way she would do the Charelston if coaxed enough, the way she'd cup her hand and whisper into the phone. We come from an amazing line of women, Kris, I just hope I can live up to it someday :)

I love you!

Kris,
I'm so sorry for your loss. We are praying for you. It's so hard to lose a loved one but you can always rejoice in knowing where the loved one is. It's a place that is far greater then this one and we can't even imagine how happy our loved ones are there. Rest in the peace of knowing that you will see her again. And she will be watching over Cayman from above! Let me know if you need anything.
Love ya!

P.S. we need to finish our coversation from Saturday! :)

Hey Kris,
So sorry to hear of your loss. I havent logged on in a few days because I have not had internet. Praying that all is still going as good as can in a situation like this. I know of how u talked of your aunt betty. Praying for you in your time of grief.
Also, your invitation to my baby shower was returned as non deliverable. I gave my mom the address list from the wedding without even thinkin' that you guys have moved. It's a little late to resend, so just want to let you know it's Sunday the 13th at 2 and YOU ARE invited. However, I understand how extremely busy you have been lately so I DO NOT want you to feel obligated!!! I'd love to see you and Cayman again, but this shower is just gonna be a small one, my side of the family and a few friends. Carla's side does it after the baby is here...so, this one is not anything too extravagant!! Once again, hope all is well and you guys are getting settled in your new place!!
