On the Lake

Monday, August 23, 2010

Cayman got sick on Wednesday and went into the hospital. But the Saturday before that she was feeling wonderful and we were enjoying a day out on the lake with our friends Kevin and Barb.

I did not get a chance to upload photos from that beautiful day before last week's hospital stay, so I am playing catch up now.

Cruising around the lake slowly. It was quiet that day.

Cayman snuggled up on my shoulder and looked around. And did you notice, she was wearing her glasses! Before she went into the hospital we had made great progress in that area.

That goofy face Cayman is making cracks me up!

Okay, enough slow cruising on the lake. Time to get the life jackets on and go for some speed.

A big smile was on Cayman's face. She still loves the lake as much as she did last year!

But possibly her most favorite thing was driving the boat herself...

ok, now that i got the 1st thing out of the way, i can write a comment. i've been burned too many times writing out a long comment thinking i'm first, but all the time it takes to write it makes me come in second or third.

anyways, cayman looks like a scholar with those glasses. glasses were the first thing i noticed. very nice!

and these posts of cayman are even better now that we've met her.

In the first picture of her in the tube, it looks like Cayman is giving the "thumbs up" to go faster. She and Grandma need to go tubing together--we will get along just fine.

Look how long her hair looks in that picture with the silly face!

I love that she loves the lake so much! That photo where she's happily clapping her hands is probably my favourite :) And she does look super cute in her glasses :)

David's right, Cayman does look like quite the scholar!

Could she please have a talk with Elisabeth about keeping her glasses on too? And also have her mention that glasses are not for chewing on?

lol!

Is this the same lake you went to last year??

Lisa,

Yes it's the same lake we went to last year.

Cayman began to wear her glasses much better once we got a strap for them. It's the red cord you can see hanging down from the back of her neck. We tighten it just enough so there's some resistance to when she tries to pull them off.

Her love of boats and speed makes me think she needs her own speed boat!! In pink, I think!
