Lazy Days

Tuesday, July 29, 2008

We finally have weeks.....plural....WEEKS, without Doctor appointments. It's so great!! How have Mike and I taken it? We've become LAZY!! Our conversations go something like this:

"You want to get out and do something?"

"I don't know. Do you want to get out and do something?"

Usually we end up taking a nap.

This week is very busy for Mike though. He is in the process of working 11 days straight....or in his case it's 11 nights straight. A coworker is on vacation and Mike's pulling the extra hours in for him. Plus this week was the start of coaching middle school football with his brother.

Cayman has been clingy. I adore holding, rocking, and cuddling. But when it's been around the clock I get very exhausted. There were times Mike came home to find us like this:Could it be a tooth? We're not sure. We don't see anything popping through yet, but she's constantly sucking on her fingers, chewing on her burp cloth, drooling, making spit bubbles, and just whines which is very untypical of her. She normally only fusses when she's hungry or has gas. We've tried orajel. It does not seem to make much of a difference. She hates the stuff anyways. Oh the faces this child can make!! She keeps us entertained. Even the grape flavored Tylenol is yucky to her.

I really need to get motivated. I had my lazy days, now it's time to get stuff done.

I loved those moments when I could just hold Kenneth as he slept, but I fully understand with the clingy. We started life with Eric coaching golf, then basketball, then baseball. I got really good at having an evening by myself with Kenneth.

Have you ever tried "teething tablets"? You can get them at Meijer in the baby section. I heard about them through a friend, so I decided to try them out, and they worked wonders. My daughter hates Orajel too, and these worked great. They dissolve in seconds. Just a thought....

i wish kadyn could be clingy, he hates being held and tied down, he likes being on the floor and rolliung around. But that picture is precious.

Kadyn doenst have any appointments until august i like to try and keep them all in the same month. Which all of them cept two are every three months and the other two are every year. So this august is my appoinment month.

Im mainly happy none of out babies have had hospital trips in a couple weeks. Thats exciting!!!!

You could always get out & go to Grandma's :o) Sue & I would love it!

I think Cayman is a cuddle-bug like her mama always was.

Love the picture!!! I agree with Grandma S -- Cayman looks like she is getting so big!!!
